How long have you been a photographer?

I’ve been shooting for 11 years. Officially as a professional, 8 years. I earned a degree in Photojournalism in 2012.

What happens when the weather isn’t ideal?(welcome to Buffalo)

I always encourage embracing the weather that mother nature gives us. Wedding days are not something you can reschedule based on weather, so let’s make sure to have a back up plan for photo locations, and accept it for what it is. A little rain never hurt anybody! Scheduled shoots can be rescheduled if the weather puts us or, my gear at risk.

What goes into the cost of wedding photography i.e., why is it so dang expensive?!

First, It is a full service experience with me. I spend hours of time chatting, face-timing, emailing, texting with my couples before and after the wedding day. If you don’t hire a wedding planner, I am essentially that, and if you do hire a planner, i’m in communication with you and them throughout. Insurance for gear and your venue, and cost of equipment. Top notch service and editing. I’m there for you every step of the way, so use me to your advantage. Lastly, i’ll say it time and time again, you get what you pay for.

What is your turnaround time?

6-8 weeks for weddings, 2-4 weeks for sessions - all dependent on season.

What happens if you can’t make it to my wedding?

God forbid this should ever happen. I have shot weddings with injuries, illness. The only thing that would keep me from you is an act of god, severe illness, death, etc. I will do my best to find a suitable replacement, and If I cannot do so, you will receive a full refund.

Do you have insurance?

Absolutely.

How many edited images will I get?

It varies with every wedding/ shoot. Typically 100 images per hour. I will never hold back images that I think are important in telling your story. Raw images will never be released to the client.

Do you shoot alone?

I’d say about 80% of weddings I shoot alone, but I have the option to add an assistant if you are interested. I do all of my own editing.

Do you photograph families?

I sure do. Weddings and couples are my primary, but if schedules allow, I love me some baby and puppy snuggles.

How do I book you?

After we chat to make sure we are the right fit, I require a 30% deposit, upon signing a digital contract. Typically, 6 months before the date a 2nd payment of 30% is due, and final payment is due 2 weeks before the event date. I offer customized payment plans upon request.

How many weddings do you do a year?

Around 20-25. I like to keep some weekends open during the Summer for family and downtime. Max of 25 seems to be a good number for me.

What’s your gear list?

Canon R6 x2, CanonRF 35mm, CanonRF 70-200.
